Mount Kenya Summit Trek – Scenic Chogoria to Sirimon Route

After breakfast, trek through open moorland and alpine terrain, enjoying breathtaking views of Mount Kenya’s peaks and unique vegetation. Continue ascending steadily towards Shipton’s Camp (4,200 m), arriving in the afternoon for rest and acclimatization. Dinner and overnight at Shipton’s Camp.

Wake up early (around 2–3 am) for the summit attempt to Point Lenana (4,985 m). Reach the summit at sunrise and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Batian, Nelion, glaciers, and the surrounding plains. After descending back to Shipton’s Camp for breakfast, continue down the Sirimon Route to Old Moses Camp (3,300 m). Dinner and overnight at Old Moses Camp.

After breakfast, descend through moorland, bamboo, and forest zones to Sirimon Gate, where your trek ends. Transfer back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
